Gosforth Reynolds 931 Road Bike Frame
One for the purists. Classic race geometry slung low and long for an aggressive position and nimble handling for when you ride hard and launch through corners.
TIG-welded using Reynolds 931 tubing, the latest development in high-performance alloys from the renowned British factory. Lighter than most titanium frames. Strong enough to last a lifetime.
On the road the 931 frame gives you that feeling that only high quality steel bikes deliver: That bright, dynamic, alive sensation connecting the rider to the bike and the bike to the road.

Reynolds 931 Tubeset
Reynolds 931 alloy has an ultimate strength twice that of 3Al/2.5V titanium at a density of only 7.8 grams/cm3, originally developed for aviation and motorsport applications.
This frame's main triangle uses aggressively short-butted tubes at 0.4mm/0.7mm to move stresses away from the weld area and optimise for stiffness and weight. At the bottom bracket the down tube is horizontally ovalized at 40 degrees and the chain stays are over-sized and shaped to maximise power transfer.
Proudly TIG-welded by hand in Taiwan.
1 1/8 inch external headset
English threaded 68mm BB
32mm banded front mech

31.8mm seat post collar
Up to 700x25c tyres
Derailer Hanger - PILO D221 (supplied)
No braze-ons for mudguards or racks
Time tested angles and tube lengths for a more aggressive position. The 931 is shorter on the front, going against the trend for ever growing head tubes. You will need a strong core get the most out of it.
Moderate angles give a balanced position and neutral trial (around 60mm with 45mm fork rake) for a fluid feeling through the bars. A 68mm bottom bracket drop places the rider's weight lower for improved feel, confidence on sharp descents and when you let it run through quick corners.

* With an external headset you will gain around 20mm on the head tube measurement shown depending on the headset's stack height.
Trail calculated with 45mm fork rake and 23mm tyres.
Rider feedback suggests this frame runs slightly small. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger frame.
